Um, ok, am I just totally self-absorbed or do I feel like I should have been mentioned somewhere in here? I mean, damn, there are like waay worse guys she could be mararying...

Gravatar Frankie, would it be worse to tell you that there was a sentence about how the shower was great but the wedding would be even better because you'll be there in your cute bow tie and that I deleted it? Woops, I guess the cat's out of the bag! Seriously, I didn't have enough time to give you all the various accolales yout that you deserve. Also, you had some serious competition from the duck pin bowling "enforcer" -- ask Hill. I can't wait for the big day, dude.

Gravatar Not only was there the duck-pin bowling "enforcer", but don't forget the two proprietors of the thrift store where we went bridesmaid's dress shopping. They were enforcers in there own way, telling us to try on everything with high heels, lest we ruin their precious stained dresses by letting them drag on the floor. Or trying to convince us that a kelly green dress made of stiff polyester is perfect for an outdoor summer wedding. Or, perhaps the best idea yet, suggesting that we go for a slip-dress theme for the wedding by wearing, yes, actual slips. Because as anyone knows, the best thing for a wedding filled with elderly relatives and family friends is four twentysomethings prancing around self-consciously in flimsy synthetic fabric. Does one wear a slip under a slip-dress?

Gravatar Oh Elnie, you are a woman of your word and have won my heart forever! I forgot about the thrift store enforcers. Maybwe we should play match maker and introduce the duck pin bowling enforcer to the most aggressive thrift store one, and then we could wear slip dresses and polyester, dark green Christmas dresses to their wedding and see how they like it.

Gravatar Indeed, I like the matchmaking that has taken place on this site! But, Elnie, didn't you have your eye on DuckpinMan? You really have to love a man who risks his life to care for the last living duck pin bowling machines and is willing to spend so much time tutoring we ignorant women. If only I were 30 years older and single and mildly retarded...I would have totally been all over him like a bowling ball to a duck pin during a strike!

Cate, Congratulations to your Dad and K!

Gravatar Hmmm, yeah, accolales aside, still not enough about me in this thread that I started, but you are right, the big day will be awesome. Assuming I am not throwing up somewhere the whole time from nervousness. I mean not that I am nervous, but you never know right? I could become so. Also, yes, congrats to the OTHER couple.

Gravatar P.S. hi hilly!

Gravatar so amazing! congrats to your fam!!!

Gravatar Frank Frank Frank Frank. Frank.

(So, Frankie, does that, like, earn me a place at the head table or what?)

Cate, Please send my congratulations to your dad and K!

Gravatar Thanks, guys! I will pass on all the congrats. I was just saying to Elnie how relieving it will be to now be able to say "my stepsister" instead of "my dad's girlfriend's daughter".

Gravatar Amy, thank you, thank you. Finally some credit where credit is due. See that all you other posters? Is that sooo difficult? No, I didn't think so.
