Trivia: the USENet newsgroup talk.origins was started solely for various sci.* groups to have a place to send people who questioned the fundamentals of evolutionary biology, because such people kept on interrupting and derailing the conversations that the science groups were having.

talk.origins grew to have a life of its own beyond that, though. That's why it's my model for this blog (although something a little less huge and more manageable would be nice).

(I can't get post-title retrieval enabled in Haloscan, perhaps because I've got several blogs, not just one. So, for the benefit of others, this comment thread is with regard to the "Why was I sent to this blog?" post.)
