If I listed every "must have" as a WIP, I'll need to live a very long time to finish them all! I'm struggling now with a couple of Starmore FIs that I've fallen out of love with. Kinda difficult to reassign the yarn to some other project!

You sound exactly the way I do on the Must Have and the Knit? Now? bit. (I do it with books too). Someday they'll get done! When the spirit moves me. (But a WIP is only that if it's partially knit! Nothing else qualifies.)
