I love your internal debate - it mirrors mine. I agree w/Lorrraine though, no guilt or rules for knitting!

I went without a car when I lived in Oakland but the suburbs is just too hot and too inconvenient w/o one. Buses route to BART not the grocery stores or hospitals. It's very annoying. And then they lecture us about car usage.
