Don't be too hard on Babs. You know how things work in the Senate. By her point of view, the Democrats have a bird in the hand with Joe Lieberman. No reason to rock the boat. Senators are notoriously deferential to members of their own club. No surprises here, nothing to see. The only surprise would be if some sitting senator were to endorse Ned Lamont. But that will never, ever happen.
