Gravatar I'm not sure he can afford to wait until after the primary. I think he may have to commit sooner to make sure all the infrastructure is in place for his campaign.

It's gonna be a tough decision for him. I look for him to hold both options open for as long as possible, though. Remember how he ran for the Senate and VP at the same time?

I agree with you. He will hold both options, thats his style. However, I also think the best approach for him would be to drop out of the democratic primary early, and to announce that he will run as an independent. If he is defeated in the democratic primary (and I think he will), that would give Lamont a very strong momentum that will carry him to victory in the November election.
