Gravatar A few years ago, during a meeting with iranian businessmen, I was advised by my colleagues not to shake hands when introducing me to the iranians, because its forbidden for women to touch men. I was shocked by this, and I said that I would meet them if I only shook hands with them. There was a trouble for a while, but finally I entered the room, greeted them properly, shaking hands and then I stayed and had our cooperation...

I had 2 iranian women friends, who suffered there, but they could not do much.

I only hope the situation will improve now.
Although I wish it coud happen, without all this blood of innocent people.

Gravatar Yes, the Iranian theocracy does not respect women's rights. They are the worst sort of fascist regime you can get. A combination of bizarre theocracy and fascism. I hope the regime collapses soon and there is democracy in Iran. The Iranian people deserve better.

Gravatar Let's hope it happens sooner rather than later. It almost seems to much to hope for that it'll happen now, but I sure would love to be wrong. In any case, you are right, and even if the regime survives, it will do so in a very weakened state and its days will be numbered.

Gravatar Barry,
It is hard to predict. The situation is volatile and could change by the minute. But I have no doubt that the regime there will collapse sooner or later. It is at the point of no return.

The regime is getting more and more isolated. No one has come to their support. The only exception is that idiot Hugo Chavez who showed his true colors. He is the only one who came up openly in support of Ahmadinejad and the fascist Iranian regime. I am finally convinced that Chavez not only is an idiot, but he is as dangerous for the world as his theocrat-fascist friends in Iran.
