Oh dear! What a mess, mmm? It seems that gloating has now been banned by the Repubs, even though in 2000 and 2004 Dems fairly drowned in it ('Gore Loser!' ring a bell?). Gloating became a by-word for Conservatives back in those cold, dark, days, but now the the sun has started shining through I guess we, the left, can be gracious and magnamimous in victory, which may hurt even more.
So I won't gloat. Much. I will, however, patronise.
We forgive you. But now that the grown-ups have taken back control of the creshe and the kindergarten (re-counts notwithstanding), I trust they will govern for ALL Americans and not just the rich ones. Time will tell, but they will have to keep their noses clean if they are to pull of the trifecta and take the WH in 2008.
Two down, one to go. Don't worry Timmer, this power shift might work out for you yet! You might even find yourself carting a 'Go Obama!' placard in a year or two!

Oh Timmer, you old grump! What have I done wrong? Nothing you wouldn't have done – you said so yourself!
So let's all be friends and, with the spirt of bi-partisanship and uniting old foes beneath our wings, attempt to build a fairer world. What could be wrong with that?
Call me idealistic if you like, but isn't it better to have an ideal to strive towards rather than just wallowing in mediocrity?
