Well, and you know I'm the exact same side of the fence on this as you, I don't think it was realistic to expect anything else. What's right and what's the law are way too often diametrically opposed. Still, it was a symbolic statement, all those brides and brides and grooms and grooms, that means much more than simple symbolism. In my book, they are married, and I hope with all my heart that the eyes of law will see it as well, someday in the not too distant future. Hey, if BJ could do it in MA, it doesn't seem all that out of the reach of reality in CA, right?
Yeah, it pissed me off too.
