Perhaps those dark, scary feelings can only be tamed when confined to words. Maybe by taking something that festers and grows inside, and purging it onto the computer screen, (or dare I suggest paper), you feel relief. There is an honesty that occurs when the mind is expressed through the silent words that is lost when spoken. Or perhaps that's why I write. Nice to meet you, Michele sent me.

By the way, if you are interested, I wrote this about a friend who suffers from bi-polar disorder. She missed her meds, and was lost for a while. Thankfully she is fine.

I know exactley how you feel, in wanting to share your thoughts and dreams, and life. I call myself "an embracer" in that I embrace people, friends, ideas, situations and memories. I also have a Blog, but vacilate between wanting to write REALLY personal stuff, and withdrawing and holding back, and being only on the surface, superficial. Sigh. Keep writing, you can't live your life in any other skin, than your own. hugs

My content varies. I've written deep, painful, personal entries and I've written entries just because I wanted to amuse someone.
I love the odd, random, the unknown commenter. They are half of the reason I write. Well other than to shut the voice up... Im kidding.. kidding.. mostly.
Keep writing what feels like it needs to be expressed. Everything else is just gravy.

There's nothing wrong in letting go of shadows in your blog, for some, that's the only place they can! Keep writing what you write because I like it, and it makes me think.

I do that too. Share. I enjoy sharing my life with friends-the good the bad, and I hope they are comfortable enough to share theirs with me. I've found, however, that I'm too open and most of the friends I've had don't share 1/8 of their lives. I started a blog, though since 2001 I've only posted about 6 times. Only 1 person I know has the URL, and I doubt anyone else could find it. I don't think I'd want anyone I know to find it.

One of the most insightful people that I know, (my wife Julie of "Mom in the Mirror" fame) Says, and I'm paraphrasing here:
Writing is exploring, I write to learn.
I, by the way, am one of those few writers who don’t like to read, at least not as much as my peers. But I do love to be read. Here is a quote from one of my recent entries:
"… I understand now why Julie blogs. The comments that I read, when directed at her, make me feel great. But it is a horse of a different tune, when the comments are directed at me. It is a veritable equine symphony. What a rush!"
Finally, I love to interlude, it gives me another excuse to write, and I'm pretty darn sure that at least one person will read it.

I love the fact that total strangers can read my blog, but to me none of you feel like strangers. It is great to read about others and to share with others. Keep it up. Cheers.
