Gravatar If your child is over three years old, the school district has to transport him to and from any therapy he attends (from daycare back to therapy and back), even if he doesn't go to a school in the district. See the Lanterman Act for more info. I'm lucky -- my sitter takes my 2 1/2 year old to therapy for me. And I'm unlucky because I live in a school district that fights parents tooth and nail to avoid paying for needed therapy. Get you child's assessment, then call your school district and request an IEP. Take a tape recorder and be prepared to stand up for whatever it is the assessors say he needs. I'm in California, too, and I'm going down this same road. Feel free to e-mail me privately if you would like more info.
