Well, good for you! I am really happy that you've found a place. Our church is a wee sma' kirky, but we love it for some of the same reasons---we make a difference there. We need them and they need us. Its like a big family.
Curious parallels again! I've just started going back to church for many of the same reasons you cited. I feel really good when I'm there too - which to me says it was the right thing to do. I hope this place works out for you!
It sounds wonderful! I too have recently gone back to a spiritual practice. I think it's wise to trust your gut and heart instincts when seeking spiritual things. I hope it turns out to be a real home for all of you!
