Jesus. PLEASE tell him that getting out there IS the race, and that he kicks ass.

I'm not sure how I'm going to do in the Atlanta marathon this March 25th, but I'm going to fly down there and run it anyway.

Some of the top marathoners in the world dropped out of the NYC marathon last year, because that is the nature of marathons. It just happens.

BTW, people who try to run marathons often forget that running 12 miles is something 97% of the people in this country can't do. Ever.

Tell him he rocks.
