Gravatar I have something like $20k in available credit across about 4 cards. My take is, "the more the merrier." Who knows when there might be some crisis requiring the use of that available credit. Plan for the worst.

Then again, the worst might be someone running up a $10k bill on that unused credit card with a high limit.

Gravatar This is a confession, I am a serial credit card collector. For the record I never carry a balance and have never paid any late fees on any cards. My problem is that I have so many cards that I have had to track them in a spread sheet. I am down to 12 cards now and want to trim that down even further. My current available credit is $109,300.

Gravatar 10000, 2000, 7500.

My salary is $75000

Gravatar Ok, I'm game.

cc1 $2000
cc2 $9100
cc3 $11500
cc4 $6000
cc5 $3600
cc6 $3600
cc7 $2650
cc8 $ 700
cc9 $1500
cc10 $1500
cc11 $14000

$56,150 I can't say total because we have multiple cards we use for multiple business' too. Luckily we pay all but 4 cards off when we charge. 3 with 0%'s and 1 business one that we are carrying a major equipment purchase on.

I am boring and don't have many cards. But I did write a post about how I am paranoid about opening more. =)

Gravatar I'm not smart enough to figure out the trackback thing with blogger, so here's a link to my post with my credit card info:

Gravatar Looks like fun...

CC1:6700
CC2:600
CC3:5000
CC4:9000
CC5:6000
CC6:7200
CC7:4500
CC8:4000
CC9:1000
CC10:3200
CC11:4500
CC12:3500

So between 600 and 9k..totally over 55k. I don't keep any balances so don't pay any interest. I opened all of them either when I was first starting out, for rewards programs, or for sign up bonuses.

Gravatar Hi Claire - I don't know how to trackback but here's my contribution.

Gravatar Hi Claire, Here's the link to my answer...

Gravatar I have no credit cards, and so have no credit available. Yes, this hurts my credit score, but so what? My credit score is high; it can stand a little hurting. And I don't have to worry about any of the problems that come with credit.

Gravatar Hmm I tried to do a trackback but it didn't work. I gotta figure this stuff out. Anyway, I wrote a fairly detailed post about my cards and their limits at
