I have two little guys, almost 4 and 5. I am always talking to them about money, how to be wise with it, put it away, and how to have a "how can I afford it" mindset. My kids watch me buy and sell cars, so they already are ahead of the game realizing that cars are just a vehicle to get you from point A to point B, should not be financed, and can actually make you money. They also come along with me when I look at real estate. So their view of houses is like mine. A good friend of mine who is a successful real estate investor has kids too- and her little guy can be heard saying, "Is that house on the market?" lol
The mindset and our examples are powerful- teaching our kids how to be wise and how to have our money work hard for us, not us work hard for our money. A great fun tool for this is www.richkidsmartkid.com and the book- I'm starting to read this myself now.
