His Own Private Possession!

Gravatar Some excellent points. As Josh McDowell has pointed out, its called the new tolerance which our public schools now teach. Everything anyone wants to do is okay and not only are we not to judge but we should celebrate it. We are losing objective truth.

I ran into this when I was outraged about Bill Clinton's behavior. Even good men at my own church were telling me I shouldn't be judging him. I felt like screaming.

Gravatar Maybe I am way off base, but I always consider what Jesus meant when he said, "Judge not, lest you be judged."

If you look at other parts of the Bible, the word "judge" or "judgement" usually referred to punishment, or chastizement. Often the Bible speaks of meteing out judgement against peoplea who are disobeying God or oppressing His people.

When I hear someone say, judge not, because I am saying I believe a certain lifestyle choice is unGodly or wrong, I respond that I am not punishing, just stating the Truth as I believe it to be.

But who am I to judge?

Gravatar LMC,
Yes, I remember the same thing during the Clinton years... no moral outrage... because our society has become moraless... at a certain level. Sad.

If the churches would be what they are called to be, our society would not be in the pit that it is... problem is... to do what the church is called to do, is to preach judgment, and no one wants that! After all, God is a God of love... and sadly, according to man pulpits... that is His only attribute... no Holiness whatsoever...

Mark
Good way to understand that... but then, I'm being judgmental!
Blessings
