I totally understand and sometimes when God moves us it is usually at times that we think, "what?" "now?".. It usually isn't when we are comfortable or 'ready', but always in his timing.

I have gone through something akin to what you are going through. I have sung since I was 12 and now I am 45 and am facing giving it up completely as far as singing on stage. I know God wants me to put family first and when I was singing it was like that time was separate from them and I just don't have the time or mental energy for it anymore.

That said, I have a passion for teaching scripture to kids, so I am going to do that as often as I can because it involves teaching my kids as well in their classes at church.
