Thanks for the thoughtful discussion. The circular problem of research+money and acceptance has been troubling me too. I keep poking the people at the Sensory Learning Institute to work on a study, but without funding...

The problem is, who would fund it? There isn't much altruism in medical research these days. Now if the program needed a drug to be sold, THAT would generate studies galore.

Thanks for your comment. Ya, the lack of funding for other than big pharma approaches to stuff is frustrating. Makes me appreciate work from folks at SLI and guys like Mike Merzenich all the more.
