You haven't failed, sir. The watchman on the wall can still see farther, and remains the watchman whether those in the yard below are awake or asleep.
Stand your ground and do your duty; that's all anyone could ask.

You haven't failed. I have friends dear to me that fail to see the threats.
Keep up the right, keep them close. It's going to get ugly if this passes.

I'll third the not failed assertion. If you are putting food by, and working toward protecting those dearest to you, you have not failed.
Acknowledging the Leviathan its hunger is just too frightening and hard for many people so until such a time as reality awakens the dreamers from their slumber, keep being the sheepdog.

Maybe if she takes a look at this--she might begin "To see" what is really out there. These are Christian couples walking on the streets of the Castro (homosexual) district in San Francisco. You and her need to watch this all the way through to the end.

I do not know what this graphic (Secret Builders) is about, or how it got on to your blog site. BE ALERT!

Oh-ok-Ignore the above about the graphic.
With regard to your wife: Here is the wikipedia site you need to ask your wife to read. It describes "cognitive dissonance", which it sounds to me she is suffering from (I know because my own wise, and well educated beloved continues to make excuses for the the things we have witnessed).
The most recent and for me the best example of "cognitive dissonance" is shown in a recent war movie with Tom Hanks. I apologize, but I cannot remember which one it was. It is the story about a group of men having to march up an open hill to defeat the enemy. They are in the Pacific somewhere. In this story there are about 20 or 40 guys in uniform carrying guns and encountering the enemy. The scene is on an open slope. All of a sudden out of the jungle alongside comes a native. He is carrying a spear and walks right alongside of our millitary and never sees them. Never "SEES" them. Having his home territory which is small, invaded by two large groups of different types of people, carrying and using weapons he has no way of comprehending, making noise he cannot explain, has caused this guy to simply walk past--he never NOTICES, because he has nothing in his training, or previous experience, nor in the stories he was given as a child to define, or prepare him for the current situation--his mind does NOT TAKE IN the actual facts. You might want to rent that film and get her to sit through that scene with you.
Best,
