Well said, I like the diplomacy of yore. My Dad's generation certainly wouldn't have been trying to arrange a group hug like we are now.
We don't have diplomacy.
We have surrender. This outfit is split between the Chicago club, the national level Democrat party, and the incumbency culture inside the beltway.
I watch Frank, Dodd, Peloi, Shumer, and the rest and am reminded of the scene in "Total Recall" where the guy shows up at Ahnold's characters door and tries to convince Ahnold that he's hallucinating all this Mars stuff and he MUST TAKE THE PILL to make everything go alright...
... then Ahnold notices the sweat beading on the guy's head, and blows him away.
Frank especially, just this last week, sending a letter and then speaking on why easing up Fannie and Freddie's new (and still woefully inadequate) lending guidlines, are necessary for recovery...
Makes me say bad words out loud. Loudly.
