You're overreacting, Pat. I'm almost 100% positive he doesn't think you're an ignorant prick. And we know, along with the black guy himself, that you are not ignorant, racist, prejudiced, what not. It would obviously show. So there's really no need for worry or shame or a politically correct disclaimer (your aside).

I think hanging out with Pete Squires has influenced you to be like that, haha! That is pretty funny and you just acted on instinct. It's okay I said something really stupid at subway once when some people was there, they didn't hear it but I realized what I had done and well got upset with myself too. But at the time the people I was with found it funny.

best. story. ever. i was laughing my keister off before i actually read what you did, mostly cause i was expecting a high five, but what you did was even better. its good to know that other ppl embare-ass (the word is much better that way, n'est-ce pas?)themselves everyday the same way i do, and in much more interesting and illiberal ways.
