Well, technically, the Powerline guys didn't call Carter a traitor-
they said he was on the other side.
That claim is far easier to support than treason. When is the last time Carter applauded anything done by the administration? When is the last time he criticized those unfriendly to the US- such as Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro?
Your previous post, Worst of the Web, rightly upbraids Taranto for a slimy generalization- it's advice (especially from a blog titled Reasonable Prudence) worth remembering.
There are loads of reasonable folks on both sides of the political aisle, but Carter himself is not one.
