Great post, Tom. Though perhaps I remember less of the 70's than you. I was three when the decade started and ten by 1978. I admit I'm in to old technology and so still buy some vinyl and get all geeked out over old television, radio and other communications equipment but I think this is largely because of my media generalist background and a fascination with older media in a historic or aesthetic context. I would definitely not want to climb back into the time machine and say goodbye to blogs and e-mail.
