Excellent post - I was thinking Danielle sounded okay, though. I've never been to a speed dating event, but it does seem (from the people I know who have) that the trick is to treat the whole thing as a joke.

Honestly I think this speed dating concept is great. I've always been able to tell in the first five minutes whether a guy was worth my attention. I think the only gal worth getting to know...is the one who didn't talk about herself or tell you how strapped for cash she is. Geez, where the heck do they find these chicks?

Speed dating is great! I've spent many a date at dinner with someone who's extremely boring and not able to get out of it. At least with speed dating you know they're leaving in 5 minutes!
