i'm supposed to be off back to Boston on Sunday.

I wonder how long we're going to be in this state?

V interested to find out what info they base these alleged plots on.

But understand they can't give out too much info during investigation. However, this means we can be kept in the grip of the security forces for as long as they want.

I'm not saying I need to see a plane blow up to have proof, but I can get a bit cynical about tings like this - controlling people through fear.

Our security forces could do with a pr boost about now - retain trust and confidence.

It kind of makes a mockery of the existing onboard and preboard security though - all the metal detectors and xrays.

I can imagine v scrict restrictions on hand luggage now.

Now they will fear all liquids in hand luggage - can people have water even? Airports get pretty hot.

The images of Gatwick are almost exactly what it was like 2 weeks ago when we went on holiday. Packed. Huge queues everywhere.

are you back to Boston soon too?

I'm not sure about what we will be allowed - bottled water looks like it'll need to be purchased after going through security, and I'm not sure whether they are going to allow it on the plane. Some people have been saying that they have had to check in mobile phones, iPods, laptops and the suchlike - and that hand luggage is being checked in.

I'm hoping to go to Boston next month for a week, including PodCamp. I haven't yet booked the flights or the accommodation. I'm going to put off booking it for a few days until this has all settled down.
