I actually believe that YYYYMMDD is the best option, because it is the most useful. You can easily sort it as a number, no problems with months vs days. You can't do that with DDMMYYYY. Obviously MMDDYYYY kinda sorts "OK" but who the hell would use THAT?

My phone's camera uses DDMMYYY. Keeping track of what I've downloaded is a pain. Might write a script for managing pics.
