This seems to be a result of conference organisers selecting on the wrong criterion. I'm not sure if they use Lacy because (a) she's a journalist on a high profile publication or (b) because she's attractive, but either way she's palpably not up to this particular style of interviewing.
To much "work for mates", not enough "what's best for the audience".
