Honestly mate - I don't want to make an enemy out of you, but you've got to be joking!

Have you ever contributed to the DataPortability Project to understand why we need a governance framework? Are you aware 90% of what we discussed on that call maps to Robert's Rules of Order? Action groups, taskforces, steering committee - do you realise we've been operating like that for the last six months, just informally and inconsistently?

Attending a London Lunch, and contributing to the occasional thread on the public forums is maybe what you consider contributing - but given you have limited experience in any of the DataPortabiity initiatives, perhaps you need to ask why we are even discussing these issues? It has sprung out of experience of where our failings have been these last few months, as the community has evolved.

If you could find the teleconference today, then I am sure you can find my e-mail. Drop me a line, and let's arrange a call. I really think you need some perspective. It would be great if we can use it as an opportunity as well to take your feedback and criticism, and see if we can do something about it.

Your last post asked for the DataPortability people to listen - well here I am. Let's see what I can do now that you have my attention again.

Elias: thanks. I'll pop you an e-mail in the morning and we'll talk about it.
