wow!!! sounds like a total waste of time. I really HATE events like that.
Having Senator Edwards at Gnomedex was rather more palateble, as many smart people in the room took him to task over a bunch of things.
As for David W's comment about being lectured by ppl who know nothing - I agree, I cant abide that. Rather like being managed my someone who has no idea at all of what your jobs actually entails.
Very frustrating.

Ton, thanks for the coverage...led me to all the good stuff. From the feel/sound/reading of it, it was a far better conference last year, hopefully things will change for next.

Just want to thank you for all the great linking you did throughout (and after) the conference - most useful.
Several people came up to me to mention a piece I wrote for The Guardian. I understand it had more to do with you reading it out during one of the panels than it had to do with just sitting on the Guardian site :)
Many thanks for that. I hear we got a cheer, but I was upstairs filing another story and missed the whole shebang. Therefore until I catch the video footage - cheers.
