I don't think he's going to say anything about this. Maybe he is realizing that he has committed a business suicide which partially means also a political suicide.
I'm looking forward to see how he's going to (try to) recover from this.

FYI, the "Loique Jemeur" blog was not set up in response to LeWeb3 : it's been parodying every single post from Le Meur's official blog for a few months already (septembre 2006 according to its archives).
Just goes to show how he's already considered by some French bloggers, surely, ever since he set foot in the French blogosphere in 2004, buying his way to Six Apart EMEA.
I personnaly feel sorry for him at the moment. He's a really enthousiastic guy who believes strongly in what he does and goes a long way make it real (who'd have thought a French blogging conference could gather that much high-profiles, both inside and outside of the b'sphere ?).
I think the only way for him to "redeem" himself is to keep doing what he believes in - and start doing a conversation about why this all went really, really wrong.

Look, I'm french, a web addict, and I never read Loic Le meur's blog, ever. But this is a tragic mistake if it casts a most unsavory light on every French web 2.0 company and bans France forever from the web conferences trail.

Claire - I have a lot of respect for the entrepreneurs and bloggers that I met at Le Web, and I really hope that Europe (generally) and France specifically can have really good conferences. The London tech scene - which is really vibrant and has loads of interesting people - could and should bubble up in other European cities.

Just to back up what Tom is saying, one of the things that really disappointed me about Le Web 3 was how little I learnt about the French blogging scene. There's plenty of appetite for more information on the scene.
