geesuus! Mispelling intentional and all. A political takeover of les web3 (or whatever it is called) would have upset me too. Somehow I almost feel that I am there, and it is fascinating to observe the fact that once something has some broacasting capability - like blogs have these days - every body wants to get on the bandwagon, however it seems to me, in my not so humble opinion, that they do not have a clue to the fact that blogging operates on a totally different set of values.

I reckon the only reason that the first French chap turned up was because Shimon Peres spoke at the conference (with something real to say to all of us bloggers) and therefore made the conference a maintstream media item. The second French chap turned up just because the first one did...
I think the organisers did a great thing getting Shimon Peres to speak - but they have been played by the French political marketing machines. They should have been more aware of what was going to happen to their conference. Or are they using this to make a bigger PR hit for 'their' conference?
Its all a game - but we do have the last blog entry :-)
