Woah! The logical extension of this is that anyone who donates eggs/sperm will be responsible for child support and will also gain parenting rights to the product child. Sooo, a pair of women who are in a relationship and decide that one will have a child. The biological mother dies and the donor finds out that a child has been produced with the donated reproductive material. That donor is the sole parent and the surviving partner will have no claim. I'll wager that the folks who pressed for the establishment of the bizzare underpinnings that made this ruling come to pass would be mortified.
