As a former intel analyst, I actually like the new look of the intel agencies. Before you had everyone working on their own little intel project and never talking to each other. A few friends of mine have commented that finally some adults are in charge of the intel community and are going to mobilize its resources to actually produce cognizant intel.
It doesn't fix all the problems, but it s a start.
Caelestis - thanks for the comments. I have a question then for you. How do you think the recruiting is/will be going forward? Are we talking about some of the qualities mentioned by Meyer needed for intelligence work. I mean the one thing I always remember from the 90's was that we accumulate intelligence from afar without infiltration. That didn't seem to work out too great.
