POW in 45, retired from the AF in 95? Something is not right here in this article. Is this for real? What is this about selling "pull tabs"?

My read on the retiring comment was that Bill finally retired in '95. I think the statement was probably wrong in saying he retired from the AF. In Minnesota they have a form of gambling called pull-tabs. It's usually run by Veteran organizations like the Legion or VFW and many bars will have pull-tab booths. It's almost like a lotto ticket where you pull off a tab to show 3 cherries or something like that as to whether you win. I'm obviously not real informed on this since I don't think I've ever purchased a pull tab myself.
