I flew a couple of months ago and was "randomly" selected to undergo shoe removal, wanding, and a pat down. What fun! The patter told me that she loved my blouse. That made my day! Seriously, it's a good thing they checked me out - I am sooooo dangerous.

I've always considered Mineta to be Bush's wink/nod/sop to Asian-American (how I dislike hyphenated terms like that!) voters. Anyone else have a different take?

Good question, why did Bush keep mealy mouthed Mineta? I think it was he needed "one of them" to round out his diversity recipe for his cabinet. Anyhow, up til' 9/11 what trouble could that cabinet position cause anyhow, right? TSA proved the answer was a whole bunch.
