I'm hoping that Libby's lawyers will decide to drill down through the liberal muck and get to the bedrock of this matter. A whole lotta lyin' and obfuscatin' has been ignored, willfully, by our esteemed major media, but they wouldn't be able to ignore trial information dredged up by the defense.

After that, I'm ready to donate to a "Schaffer for Congress" campaign. We need people like him, instead of some of the partially-lobotomized, silver-tongues we now have, running the nation.

The whole affair is an utter charade. Quite simply, Plame was not a covert operative, and therefore naming her as a CIA employee carries no more weight than if I were to point out that Porter Goss is also a CIA employee.

Unfortunately, apparently Libby did commit a crime--he lied. Why he lied to cover up a non-crime is a mystery to me.

Then again, if lying was such a heinous offense Bill Clinton would have been sent to the chair...

Once again, double standards reign supreme.
