What a blessing you and your sisters handled it that way. My grandmother just died in November and although I saw the same in my Dad and most of his sisters, there was the "one" sister and "one" brother that went the other way. For the most part though the rest of them (7 of them total) did as you and yours did and it really brought them together actually.

While you were going through her things did you by chance find anything special that made you smile and know that she loves you and thought of you maybe more than you even knew? I ask because you said you didn't have the greatest relationship with her. I just wondered if perhaps you found something that gave you peace to know she loved you deeply and maybe kept something special of yours from childhood or something that surprised you?

I know that happens alot when families go through the belongings of a loved one after an unexpected death.

I hope your heart heals quickly and you find peace.
