He doesn't seem to sound nearly as combative as he came across in the letter to the editor to the WSJ. For example, this transcript seems to reflect more of an open-minded, 'we need to hear more testimony' attitude, compared to the explicit identification of commission staff members and a White House attorney 'affirming' things purported to be facts, and implying that Shaffer was mistaken/lying.
