One of the names on the witness list, Russell Tice, is the same name as a (former?) NSA employee who went first to, I think, Mikulski (I'm not sure of the spelling - She's a Maryland politico), and then to the NY Times, with allegations of "illegal" NSA operations.

He apparently opted for a self-label of "whistle-blower" instead of "leaker of classified information" when his identity was certain to become known.

That would be after his little talks with NY Times reporters, when he asked for an audience with the Congressional committee he should've gone to in the first place (if he actually has any bogus operations to report).
