Mike, it's pretty clear that a vast segment of the public has no concept whatsoever of the safeguarding of sensitive, classified information, and the NYT and other media outlets take advantage of that fact, knowing that the average reader/listener isn't going to be knowledgeable enough to be outraged. Until such time as prosecutions of both leakers and those who received and publish classified information begin, this outrage is going to continue, and the efforts of this country to defeat those who would kill us all will be undermined.

Nice post and great blog you have here.

Maybe you know about this guy-he discusses Able Danger

PS- He claims Able Danger was a "terrorist controller" program?? I dunno...

"REP. CURT WELDON: Well, you know, we have a process in America where people are elected to represent constituents. And we in the Congress then elect people who are on separate committees involving our intelligence.

And these members take an extra oath, both in the Senate and the House. There are Democrats and Republicans who are briefed at the highest level of the secrets that are important to America's security; that also includes the leadership of both bodies. No individual reporter has the right to supersede what is given to those individuals who protect the secrets of America, and yet that's what reporters of the New York Times have done."

Granted, he's just talking and I'm just a bystander, but if only Democrats and Republicans are allowed to be in on the good stuff, the rest of us are doomed.

In turn, if the NYT is our last bastion, forget it. Its off to New Zealand, or following Patrick Henry.
