Does it really surprise anyone that this happened, Again?? It shouldn't.
I knew this would be another whitewash by our government. They didn't do anything any different from the 9/11 Commission Report. Question is, who got to who, we know why.
Both parties are on a war path against, Rep. Weldon, LC Shaffer, and the other team members of Able Danger, for exposing the cover up of Able Danger's findings.
I love my country!! But how can we stand and say we are Proud to be Americans, when we, the American people, allow our government go on being is so corrupt!
After all of this, how long will the people of The United States of America, go on believing the "words" that come out of the mouths of our government officials??

I just spent many hours tonight reading about this issue ... first i read the DOD IG report , then i surfed for other info ... and i would like to make a contribution to your blog, which you may already be aware of. I found an interview with Shaffer at http://www.gsnmagazine.com/
sep_0..._interview.html
I found this interview interesting with other info and perhaps some of the redacted names from the IG report.
Once again it seems from my perspective, that the government report is an official whitewash of the truth. Rep. Weldon certainly seems to concurr with this feeling as well.
Similarly, and as analogy, the government did the same thing with the investigation into pre-Iraq War intel. That report was released about a week ago now, and the same day of release, Sen. JD Rockefeller publically stated, in contradiction to the finding of the bipartisan investigative report, that the Bush administration 'pulled the wool over all of our eyes'. Sen. Rockefeller stated his aye vote for the war was wrong, and alluded to the cherry picking of intel which became the national security estimate 2002 report on Iraq, which served erroneously as the basis for supporting the war. The investigation into Iraq prewar intel did not even begin to investigate how the NSE on Iraq was compiled, who compiled it, or why it was so inaccurate, totally wrong.
They lie to us all the time about everything.
Impeach Bush.

Gary and MommaS; thanks for summarizing my thoughts and feelings. Will we ever hear the truth? I fear not in my lifetime. So sad and so disappointed in our government.

I really think I should stop my, Google Alert "Able Danger" The articles are getting worse and worse!
Such as the one from, Delcotimes.com in part:
"Richard Ben-Veniste, a 9/11 commissioner who is backing Weldon’s Democratic opponent, Joseph Sestak, said Weldon’s focus on Able Danger has hindered the implementation of the commission’s recommendations for improving homeland security.
"At a time when we needed help from responsible members of Congress to enact and implement our recommendations, and for Congress to be robust in its oversight responsibilities, this was a distraction," Ben-Veniste said. "There is absolutely no question that this Able Danger business was a false trail," he added.
In rejecting Thursday’s report, which follows an earlier Pentagon investigation that failed to corroborate Weldon’s claims, the congressman criticized Gimble for leaking the information to the media before Congress had been briefed and questioned whether his office was attempting to influence the November elections.
Sestak, the first director of the Navy’s anti-terrorism group, Deep Blue, called on Weldon to accept the Pentagon’s conclusions and "put his baseless conspiracy theories to rest." ..."
"A DISTRACTION?? FALSE TRAIL??? BASELESS CONSPIRACY THEORIES??"
Where have these people been? I have never seen or read such stupitidy!
