I'm confused about whether this means the end of the entire trial or if there are still other charges against DeVecchio. I certainly hope Greg Scarpa Jr. will be heard in court.

All charges dismissed, and because he asked for a bench trial instead of a jury trial he can not be retried. Personally, I suspect he knew about this and specifically requested a bench trial for this reason. DeVecchio is close to one of the two reporters, Capeci, and leaked stories to him all the time. It would not have taken much for Capeci to give DeVecchio and his lawyers word of the tapes before the trial even started. In fact, I'd be willing to bet that was the case.
