Of the several claims the White House is making for executive privilege, I wish the Congress would zero in on the one over Pat Tillman's death. When the Bush administration first claimed privilege on this topic, everyone scratched their heads and wondered why because it seemed as if they hadn't a leg to stand on if it went to court. Even the legal scholar Jonathan Turley was baffled during an appearance on the Keith Olberman program. Congress should use the argument that the WH has a weak claim and that executive privilege should be denied, while at the same time knowing that there is something terribly dark being covered up. |
