Hey Topham,
After a fitful night's sleep, I actually decided to read the blogs after a loss (the horror!)
I would whole-heartedly agree with your assessment of Saku Koivu being the #1 on our list of hopes.
#2) Carey Price. Prior to this series, Carey has always been able to bounce back into his best form. If he indeed is injured (broken left thumb I suspect), then we might be up shit's creek without a paddle - but I think we've been drifting that way for a while now.
#3) Elimination Games. We ALWAYS play big in these even BIGGER games. I guess some guys just thrive in that pressure cooker environment of "do or die" (see above) and that it seems that our best players all reveal themselves as just that.
#4) The Fans. 21,273 screaming fanatics behind the Habs on Saturday. Sixth man, yadda yadda... what hasn't already been said about the crowds here in Montreal?
#5) Bob Gainey. With his team facing elimination, I honestly believe that Gainey will step-in to tell Carbo to cut the crap and play his best lineup. Which may or may not include Mr.Milk Carton Michael. It's high time for Carbo to stop (over/under)coaching and just go back to what was working. Bring the Smolinski line back to full strength, put Streit on defense and for the love of Dog, get Kovy away from frickin' Braydon Cobourn - put him back with Plek and Big Tits or something!
#6) The Ghosts of the Forum. There is no conceivable way that the Hockey Gods have been so offended by us this year that they would completely ignore our plight in the Hockey Mecca of the World. Enough posts, enough missing a gaping net, enough missing glorious chances that any peewee player could bury 99% of the time. Even if the Hockey Gods are pissed at us, we're playing the Flyers... since when did the Hockey Gods ever smile upon them?
So in conclusion, these six points are the only reasons I can think of that would bring about our victory in this series or even a chance of prolonging it so we can go back to that place where Halloween colours run so rampant. Orange and black jerseys ... seriously, who thought that would look good on a blindingly white background?

All of those points, plus the simple fact that it has been done before against Boston only a few years back, makes me feel that this has to be the team that pulls off something crazy. Like what was already said, Philly beat us 3x in a row, why can't we do it to them?
IF the Habs can remember that
and
IF the most deserving players get a roster spot
I Don't see how we can lose this one
