$\"Gravatar\"$ Kovalev, Kovalev, Kovalev. Am I the only one who thinks that this guy is still one of the most talented offensive players in the league? No matter how many times teams study video on his power play prowess, he still manages to pull of the same move game after game.
I can't recall how many times I've seen him get the buck on the right side against the boards, move up towards the blue line before making a hard turn back towards the corner, which gets the D to back up, then he brings the puck back to the centre into a shooting position and waits for the right moment to place the puck between the legs of the D, and then rifles it bottom left or top right with flawless accuracy.
This guy is ridiculously skilled and I am so glad we didn't trade him during his previous slumps. He is going to be huge in the playoffs. Keep it up Kova.

$\"Gravatar\"$ You're right Jeff, at least we think so at Lions in Winter.

We believe that last year Kovalev was doing many of the same things, but just wasn't ending up on the scoresheet. We know this, because we had the feeling that he played well in the majority of games.

This year, we wanted to record how good this guy was, and even though he is getting plenty of goals, i feel he is still way better in terms of controlling the game for us than his stats could ever tell.

I'm with you, let's go Kova. Onward to 96 points.

$\"Gravatar\"$ The Kovalev goal was really beautiful. And it probably does deserve your 'play of the game' reward. Still, I wanted to point out something I've seen in the last two games that I've watched (Ottawa, Florida): a mess in front of the net, goalie off to the side, and Francis Bouillon clearing a virtually-certain goal from the goal line. He's doing his job, covering up when the goalie's busy, but he deserves a lot of credit for keeping his cool when the team looked like it couldn't make two passes in a row.

$\"Gravatar\"$ Thanks for the comment Che. I agree 100% that Bou is getting the job done and has stepped up in Hamrlik's absence. I'm glad that you mentioned that play as it was a huge play for us. I didn't feel that Franc played well enough to get in the Dome, but he played well nonetheless.

We will need all of our players to play well from here on in. My job of choosing the Dome should be hard, there should be controversy, because if that is the case we know that we'll be playing well.
