Dynasty eh? I was just starting to get comfortable with calling them a cup contender this year, but I don't think you are off the mark suggesting a dynasty in the making.
Kovalev, Koivu, Streit, Higgins, Plekanec, Price - are just a few players who stepped it up at the critical times and when you have such amazing depth, chemistry and heart, it's no surpise to me that they pulled off the comeback.
Obviously Carbo will want to look at the breakdowns that should have probably cost us the game, but great teams find a way to win and the habs demonstrated - again - what they are capable of pulling off. We don't have to rely on an Ovechkin or an Iginla, so when it comes down to that last 15 seconds I'm not thinking "get the puck to Kova" (although that's always a safe bet) because any one out there could be the hero.
For the first time in years I'm not just hoping for 'a good run' in the playoffs but I am seriously pumped about this cup contending club.
Speed, skill, grit, goaltending, heart - and depth, a combination that most teams can't bost.
It is a great time to be a habs fan.
