Also as far as styles, we all know that Amerie has trademarked the nice chorus' and layered vocals and those harmonies. DC and even beyonce's first solo lp did not have the type of layered vocals and style as her new album B-day al of a sudden has. Somewhere along the way B heard something she liked and decided to cop it. For example, me myself and I, slow song with single vocals, minimal harmony parts, emotions, dangerously in love,etc. Now the new B sounds like Amerie does, such as, why dont we fall in love (vocals and repetition), 1 thing (delivery and the NA NA NA NA NA..and OOO OOOO OO0), its obvious that A has influenced her style. And i must agree hands down that ALL I HAVE and TOUCH are much better overall albums than B day and Dangerously in love. Think the match is unfair, If Amerie had a family in the business making sure things got done , im sure she'd be up there. But that just makes her more likable/human/real than B. Bottom line is your girl B is selling out and getting too commercial, and so is her Boy Jay C ( for commercial).

True Amerie's vocals are not stronger that Beyonce's, But Go Go Music is Amerie's style, and I can see where she's comin from. Listen to Green Light and Freakum Dress on the B'Day album, the listen to Talkin About and One Thing on the Touch album. They sound similar. But can we get past this whole thing. 2006 has been a horrible year in music, and quiet frankly, I can't wit for 2007 to get here... New year, new music, new artists, and hopefully no more of this copying bull.

I think Beyonce is crazt talented and her vocals are amazing. I think everyoe in this blod knows she take styles from everyone and incorporates it into her own and I must say she is awsome at it. It's a mixtape and Amerie is just singing a little something over different tracks, it's not like she's giving a hardcore interview about Beyonce. Most people here are overeacting. Constantly being compared to other singers can make you just want to go in the studio and vent a little. Especially when you're trying to make your own mark on the music scene.
But I don't think Amerie is specifically aiming this at Beyonce. She hasn't even called her out, so lets not jump to conclusions. People are just making assumptions because they like to compare Amerie to Beyonce anyways. I thought that they were friends. There is a picture of the two together at Beyonce's album release party and Amerie seems like she admires Bey. I don't think that Amerie would be anywhere near Beyonce if ahe didn't like her. Kelis is the one who really doesn't like Beyonce, not Amerie.
I second with Silhouette. Amerie likes Beyonce and even did a tribute to them (DC3) at the 2005 World Music Awards. And I also second with Bobby. B'Day was good but she disappointed me because I thought it was going to reveal more of her, but I do give her credit for not always going with the original formula. It was kinda shady that Kelly's second album was pushed back to January when it was supposed to be released before B'Day... Just My Opinion.
