Regardless of how kick arse an artist and performer Beyonce is - there is no denying that Britney was able to deliver a hot performance when she was in her prime (before she got with K-Fed and dropped "In the zone"). Even if the bitch mimed, she'd dance her arse off, work the stage and have a cool stage setup. From the word 'Go!' Britney had strong stage prescence. It's something that I feel has always come naturally for her.
I'm really interested in seeing her performance at the VMA's. When I see pictures of her ragged arse nowadays I wonder if she still has IT. Going into a studio and laying down a hot track with a kick arse producer and Keri Hilson writing for you is one thing. But performing it is another. She's been making so many shit decisions with her life as of late, but given how correct she came with "Gimme more" - I think she may pull this one off. Another successful single and a good performance at the VMA's may be what she needs to get her life back on track and remember the career she used to have and how she's really fallen off over the past few years. I hope for her sake she sings live though. It really won't be a good look if she mimes. Though I guess that's what's expected of her anyway.
I wanna hate on her, but for some reason I can't and actually want her to do well. *shrugs* Once she does well I'm sure I'll hate her again. *LOL*
they say she's teaming up w/ Chris Angel the magician to do some illusions for the show. One of her dancers said that one idea thrown out there was to have Brit dancing against a mirror battling her own reflection.
Regardless of what it is, I can't wait, she always tears down the house @ the VMA's.
Brit, Beyonce are both professional performers that have been doing this shit since they could walk. Neither will let you down.

I agree that Brit is a good performer, but she does not have voice. She does have a star quality which helped her sell albums, but trust that people don't like Britney because of her singing abilities.
As for this single and the VMA performance helping her get her life back in order. It may help her CAREER LIFE, but her personal life is so fucked up, it'll take more than a song and a performance to get that shit all straightened out.
And lastly, B vs. Britney. I think it's a matter of musical taste. While I agree that both ladies are great performers, I personally prefer B's type of music. Britney is just too "pop" for me to really get into.
I base my "she has a good voice" on a YOUTube clip I happened across of her sitting and singing different songs. I was impressed as I'd pretty much written her off as a crap singer too. So I at least give her 'those few' props, based upon that vid-clip.

I never really hated on Britney Spears she's always been a guilty pleasure from time to time. She has an okay voice and can dance her ass off, and has this amazing sex appeal in her performance and videos. I think that's when i actually noticed her, when i seen a live performance. Girl can work the stage like no other and i understand why she was selling out concerts. She can put on damn show, whether u like her or not. Thats what that is. You can hate on her as much as you want, but that bitch sells albums like it aint shit.

Anyone who's been to a Beyonce concert knows that it's not all about swinging her weave. Call me a stan if you want. That girl took me from not liking her ass at all to flat out respecting her. I can't think of one artist who puts on a show like she does. She sings live while she's dancing around and performing. Her show is about her, not her back up dancers/singers. When Britney can SING LIVE (with out sounding completely fucked up) AND DANCE at the same time, then you can say something.

I can't knock Britney's hustle on stage. Just look at her in the Madonna performance in comparison to Madonna and Aguilera. Everything about her is PROFESSIONOWL! (Aside from the shaky vocals - but she still sounded better than Aguilera. Bitch oversang). The poses the strikes, the way she holds herself. She knows that she's there to put on a show and look the part. In that whole performance I wasn't watching anybody but Britney. It's the little things she does. When Madonna turns Britney around and she works the waist, the way she puts the mic in her top, the way she works the chest and goes down to the floor before Madonna kisses her. She's all about the business on stage and say what you will about her vocals and miming, you can't take that away from her.
I don't think anyone is trying to take away from Britney ability to perform and keep an audience captivated. My thing is, she can dance and has major stage presence, but she lip syncs everything. Beyonce can dance and sing live (and still sound like she does on her albums)at the same time. And she has the stage presence too. If we're going to compare the two, IMO Beyonce is the better all around performer.

talkall you want, but the MMC was around when my Grandma was a little girl, and Britney's edition launched her, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Ryan Gossling and Keri Russell's career. That's more than Star Search can say.
And the Grammy's are nonsense. They're voted on by industry big wigs, so even stars like Mariah Carey, whose sold 160 million records with 17 #1 hits might only get a handful of awards if they don't have favor among those in the industry. Plus who watches the Grammy's anyway. I was there this year & it's just as dull as it looks on tv....
