I agree Mia, Ciara's voice hasn't developed any power or range. She sounds like she's just talking. The outfit was cute, but truth be told, that was more like a karaoke bar performance. 
It was good to see Aretha in the audience!
I love CiCi, and kudos for doing the tribute, but she has no power in her voice. She can sing tho. It's just very weak.

Yes, I brought up Rihanna but I only brought her up as an example. Say what you want about Rihanna but I saw growth, vocally and her live performances have improved. Also, she totally switched up musically and image-wise. This has nothing to do with who can perform better out of the two. Ciara has been out longer than Rihanna, and her album Ciara: The Evolution is suppose to be about Ciara evolving as an artist and I don't see it.
at least she is challenging herself that what's great artist do challenge themselves

She is not the best singer....we already know but she tries to grow and it takes time.....just let that girl do her thang....and she did her thang on that performance...NOBODY shoul expect her to sound like Ms. Ross.

I actually think Ciara did a good job. Her voice was smoky like Diana's voice. Are ya'll forgetting how "I'm coming out" and "Upside Down" sound?
Anyways, why would Beyonce do the tribute. If anything i could see Kelly Rowland doing it. Beyonce's is not like Diana's at all. The only song i could see Beyonce doing is "Touch Me In the Morning."
And actually, they should have got Kelly Rowland cause her voice is a little more poignant than Ciara's. She would have carried the notes better since she's good at doing that like Diana does greatly.
All in all, i liked the performance, but i wonder why the tribute was so short.

I thought her first album was hot and her latest CD sounds like Goodies, but I'm not seeing that much change. But if you disagree with me that's fine. You just appreciate her much more than I do regardless. I am the same way with Alicia Keys whilst others are not as partial.

Actually Diana Ross is a good singer. She is vocally a soubrette, so she doesn't have a big range. But she can stay on top of a note better than some of the best singers in the world. Also, her voice is very commanding without being extremely bold. And she can also perform the hell out of a ballad. Look at "Touch Me in the Morning."
