Kelly's label FUCKED her over. If you can believe Beyonce had her tracks, they would be #1 hits after each other.
There was hardly any promo for her album in the US. BET and MTV gets old. She needed MORE promo, Usher is still promoting the album even after hitting #1. Mariah was still somewhat promoting too. Even Chris Brown is promoting his re-release after 3 hits.
The single choices should have been:
Comeback (the song and video are hot)
Work (Freemasons song is hot & worth being released in the US)
Daylight
Uninty (Great song on the rerelease)
Still In Love with My Ex (great song where she delivers)
With the right promo, this album could have easily been #1 and she could have easily sold at least 1 million records by now after 2 or 3 singles. She's not a new artist, she had potential to go double platinum.
I agree Sean. Even legends can't sell off their name alone. It doesn't work like that anymore.
That whole itenerary for her album is nice and all, but lets just face it. Some people are meant to be stars and others arent. Kelly Rowland will NEVER go platinum. EVER. It's just not going to happen, period.
Jesus Christ himself could executive produce her album, he could choreograph her performances... hell, Jesus could hop on stage with her and sing backup and dance with her ass, and she still wouldn't sell.

Kelly had success with her first album. It sold over 600k, shipped platinum and sold worldwide. And she had a #1 hit with Nelly. The problem is...Kelly will NEVER get out of Beyonce's shadow unless she distances herself from the Knowles cult. She has no ambition, no drive and no hunger for herself. She's spent her whole career licking Bee's clit. And someone should've told her to shut her mouth and save her comments about losing the role in SATC for her memoir "Kelly Rowland: Life as Beyonce's Backup." I don't care what anyone says but the exposure from being in that hit movie would've done wonders for Kelly. Oh well. She always has a gig on Bee's next tour as a floor sweeper or third backup singer.
